I love our cats for what they give me. Especially the inner peace which I didn't feel before letting them in our hearts and home. I would say they have also partly changed my character. From a busy bee that was always running around and not knowing an end, from the first candidate for an anger management meeting, I now love just to sit beside them, to cuddle, to just to look at them.
When I am coming home from office, angry, pissed of, nervous, they are there. I am following them to the bedroom, they saved it well, and we all just lay on the bed. In just about a few minutes I get relaxed, stroking her soft hair, hearing her breath, enjoying their companionship. Within a few minutes both of them are napping and I am following soon. Just a quick nap, 15 minutes, but after I am back, relaxed, feeling okay with myself again.
I have also learned that there are more things out there than work. Other things got important. I don't spend all night working overtime anymore. Chica and Pumuckl need me. They need to be taken care off, cuddled, played with, talked with, fed, cleaned. Cleaning their litter box or moping up the mess they have created doesn't mean work for me. I love to do it, cause I know I will get it back. And they know when it's time for Mommy to stop working, to take a cuddle break, for 5 minutes or even more.
I have never believed such an impatient and restless human like me could change its behavior which was saved for years. Within a few weeks. But our cats showed me how to rest. How to enjoy. And I thank them for this. Every day. And it's true: Cats are the best anger management tutors in world!

We have been a place of solace for our beans too. With two wee ones running around, the PM likes to sit with us and a cup of coffee. She pets, we purr and then we both feel better!

It sounds like you are a wonderful mom to your two furry babies. Cats are the best medicine for anything that ails humans!
Thanks for stopping by to see me! Hope to see you again.

Thank you for that compliment :-) I am trying my best everyday! Thanks for commenting.
Cute cats you have there. Ah..... I remember I once had a cat it was a very nice companion. It is true that pets are good to help relieve stress and believe it or not, there was an article in my local news paper that claims fish are good companions to talk to....
Thanks for commenting on my blog. Your post just gave me an idea on what to write for my next post. May be a story about my old and teethless dog. LOL...
What adorable cats! I was always what could be described as very prejudiced against cats, 'till our youngest daughter talked us into bringing one into our home about 6 years ago. Very reluctantly Moe was welcomed by me, but in a very short time I lost my fear and he is just such a wonderful bright spot in our lives, I can't imagine life without him.
What a sweet story! Cats are indeed very relaxing creatures to be around.
If it wasn't for my two cats-Miles and Nashford-I wouldn't have gone crazy years ago. They keep me on "steady" no matter how crazy my day gets. I would do anything for my boys!
