As mentioned before: We don't have cat toys in our home. However, Chica and Pumuckl don't need these as they have their own favorites. Here the Top 10 of Chica & Pumuckl's favorite toys:
- A plastic orange. A real facsimile.
They love to play football, sorry "pawball", with it. Somehow it disappeared recently.
- Chocolate wrapping or other paper which we are screwing up to get the shape of a small ball.
- Ribbon.
I could bother them for hours to play with ribbon. I have to admit, I am getting tired faster than them.
- Their own stuffed animals: Bear and pig.
These stuffed toys have been presents for me once. Until they disappeared and I finally found them with the cats. Unfortunately after this the small pig has not been seen again.
- Mosquitoes and Flies
Chica and Pumuckl love to run behind them and to try to catch them. Sometimes they really make it and eat the fly... - Cotton Buds.
Cotton buds are really famous among my cats. They are steeling them from the drawer and chew it like dogs chew bones.
- Toilet Paper and empty rolls.
A very big favorite! - Aerosol Can Covers.
Stealing them from the commode to run with it through all the flat. Noise factor: 10!
- Cigarette Buds
Steeling cigarette buds from the ash try and to play with them until all flat is full of tobacco. - Themselves.
Really they enjoy playing with each other. Fighting with each other when we have gone to bad. Running through all the flat just for nothing.
There are hundreds of "cat toys" in our home. We just needed creative cats to discover these.

Very funny post. It is true that cats will play with anything. It is not necessary to buy expensive toys. We will entertain ourselves with even just a Qtip!
