Fighting cats can be very stressful. Especially when you are not used to it. For 2 weeks Chica and Pumuckl are fighting now. First Pumuckl fought against her, because she was at the vet for her blood sample. Now Chica is fighting against him, because he had his surgery just 6 days ago.
I rarely see them together at the moment. One is sleeping in the bedroom, the other one in the living room. They are having their meals together, but that's it. 2 days ago I thought it is done as they were cleaning each other and sleeping together, yes, even playing a bit. Well, I was wrong. As soon as Chica woke up she continued hissing.
It's very hard in the evenings. We use to play Catch-The-Ribbon together. This is not possible at the moment. Either I play with Chica or with Pumuckl. More than once Chica left angry because I played with Pumuckl for a while.
Pumuckl always makes steps towards her. But this seems to annoy her even more. I see they suffer, they are also not used to be alone. Hey cats, c'mon, don't be stupid.

I know it will stop soon, they will be lovely again. But when this day comes sure another visit at the vet is needed... I will take them both!
If anyone of you wants to submit his/her favorite cat quote for tomorrow's Sunday, please feel free to drop us an email to info[at]chicapumuckl.awardspace.com.

Let's hope this lasts! :-)

Chica tries to hide from Pumuckl...
but is rather successful...
and starts hissing...

There can just be one in Chica's bed!
Either Chica herself...
or Pumuckl.
(You see, they even reserved their sides!)

Maybe they've been reading our blog too long and see how much we don't get along. It could be too that Pumuckl is rebelling against her Mom like human teenagers do. teeheehee!
Oh, that is very sad. I hope they love each other again soon.

poor kitties. maybe if you wipe them with kitty bath wipes it'll take some of the VET smell away and make them smell more alike.
i hope they start snuggling again soon.
Have just edited the post. Unfortunately blogger doesn't let me insert an image into the comments... very strange.
@ Cat-a-holic, Lilly and Laila: Ya, this could be :)
@ Babs (Beetle): Have a look at the pic! ;-) Thanks for the support!
@ Mr. Hendrix: Kitty bath wipes? Never heard about this... maybe I should google it :) Thanks for the tip.
Hi nice to meet ya! First time visiting! Sumtimes siblings fite, especially when we smell sumthing wrong. I see yoo kot a snuggle, so maybe thare is still hope!
My mother in law had 2 cats and when we go to visit her we usually take our cat (Gizmo) with us (it's just 5 minutes away!)..
Anyway, Gizmo and the other cats love to play (fight) with each other..
Sometime cats love to fight and as long as they don't hurt each other then there's no problem! :)
Oh I'm so pleased that they are sleeping together.
I have tagged Pumuckl. Please check my blog.

I had an old dog and my son bought a pit bull puppy. As the pit grew older, he started attacking the older dog. I hate it when animals fight.
Mom always brings both of us to the Vets so we both smell vetty. We hope they stay snuggly!
Could they just be trying to establish boundaries? Orange Boy and his sister Mini Munch behave this way from time to time...
@ Mr. Echo: Welcome! We love new visitors. An repeaters of course, so hope to see you again soon :)
@ BioTecK: I saw Gizmo in your blog, also an orange tabby :) Chica and Pumuckl also love to fight, have a video of this somewhere... ah, here.
@ Babs (Beetle): Thank you Babs! This will be a great challenge for us, our first Meme!
@ CyberCelt: Our cats usually just fight for fun. I never had dogs, I prefer cats and rabbits :), but when the smaller one is attacking then I can imagine it's not nice anymore. Thanks for commenting after dropping, I really appreciate this!
@ Gandalf & Grayson: I will definitely do this also in future! :)
@ Moki: I think it's rather in beginning being afraid because of the vetty smell, then the other one being angry because he got ignored and in the end the other one is annoyed because of always coming back. Anyone could follow? ;-)
This is so strange!!! They got on so well before too. I am an only cat so I don't quite know the reason.
Thanks for coming to visit when I was grounded. I can do a bit more blogging and visiting now, for a while anyway.
Good to see that their 'tiff' is over:) Sometimes they just have days like that!!

oh, adorable cats... must be hard to be caught in between. :-)
Hai.. we have the same post.. :D nice cat.. i have 18 cats member in my house :D
@ MoMo: Hi MoMo, nice to see you around ;-)
@ Mickey: Ya, especially after the vet :) But actually they missed each other so much they didn't sleep this night but just playing together.
@ bing: Thank you for dropping by and commenting!
@ Etavasi: 18 cats! Wow... 2 are definitely enough to keep me busy! Thanks for dropping by.
