Update on yesterdays kitty war:
First of all: Thank you all so so much! You are really some gorgeous furry friends! Thanks for all your advices and purrs! You don't know how this touched us. And also thank you to my Mama who tried everything to help us from far and even asked her colleagues.
Second: The war is over. The peace is back in our house!
I have already given some updates in the comments section yesterday. But as our ISP thought to cut off the Internet yesterday evening this was not possible anymore :-)
We have chosen the water spraying method as it was the only thing we could do here. After not wanting to work in beginning (well, we used the spray stream which was a bit stupid I guess) it worked fine in round 3 with the water stream. When opening the doors in the evening I got prepared with the water bottle. I have let Chica and Pumuckl come near to each other but whenever he wanted to attack her I shot :-)
After half an hour he was sniffing her from near and after another half an hour they were laying next to each other, cleaning each other, playing with each other, chasing each other through all the house... all as normal.
As fast as it has came it also has gone. I got pee in my eyes when I saw them sleeping next to each other again.
I am still not sure what caused this. Nothing changed in their behavior and I cannot determine anyone of them being the alpha now. And in the end anyway I AM the alpha! :-D
I have never got the idea about the water but it's really a great way. The shouting didn't help. We are a very noisy family when it comes to talking. But when it comes to water you all know Pumuckl's opinion.
The tuna juice was also a great one. Did all these cats smell like tuna then?

So, but today it's Tuesday! Be sure to check out Chica's and Pumuckl's adventure through Egypt. They have gone diving today!!!

Oh my!!!!! We missed all the commotion from yesterday! I am glad that the water is working. Maybe it is a mother, child issue. Trying to see who is the "mom".
Hope it settles.
Purrs, Shade and Goldie
Cats and children are the same:-)
Little cats, little trouble.
Groun-up cats, big trouble.
I wish you a peaceful day!
Cats! Who can figure us out! hehehe! We're glad they've settled back in!
Glad they are back friends again. It was very strange but ok now.
Purrs, Sukie X
Yay! That's great news. :) We are glad the war is over and that you received some good advice! :)
Hahahahaha!! That's the way we cats are! WE like to keep you guessing what's going on,heeheehee

so glad to read there's peace in the family. i guess anything is possible...
early in our relatonship i tried water as punishment for the boyz but Diego-san is so fond of water it really didn't deter any bad behavior...
We are glad to learn that the two of you are back to the way it was...peace reigns supreme...

Oh dear! It looks like we missed a lot of excitement. I'm glad things are normal again. Maybe Pumuckl was just feeling his wild oats.
We're glad the water trick worked.
Take care and enjoy the peace!
I am so glad that things seem back to normal - I don't know what got into Pumuckl! Why would he attack his mommy like that? SHAME ON HIM!
I love the pictures of Chica and Pumuckl diving - they are so adventurous!
I am glad that you are both getting along again. What happened? Were you guys just mad at each other? You gave your beans quite a scare.
I received your postcard yesterday, thank you so much. When I showed it to my Mum she gasped because she forgot to send yours, it was still on her desk. I have ordered her to send it at once - it is so hard to find good help!
I'm so glad you are ok again! Once when Bonnie returned frum the vet, I sniffed her an got booshy. She was quite surprised cuz normally she was the aggressive one. Then she hissed an I recognized her :-)
I fink you mean you got "tears" in your eyes, not "pee". That would hurt a lot. The same spellin means crying or ripping paper, so it's confusin. Dat's why my spellin isn't too good. I'm a cat - I nefur wented to school!
By the way, the human is NEVER the alpha. You might fink you are, but... We are Cats. Purrs
Good to hear that the kitties are friends again. Phew! Wouldn't like that to continue. The diving cats - cute!
Glad to hear it's settled now! Boy, that must have been tough for everyone!
We use the water bottle too when the kitties are fighting. They are scared of it.
So glad it is over! I actually thought about Chica and Pumuckl today and hoped things were better. Very stressful when they fight.
I never thought about water ! although I used the water pistol when they all were babies and wanted to pee in the plants ! But it never came in my mind to use it when they are fighting ! Very good advice !
I'm so glad you are friends again. I wonder how long the peace will last?

hope brother and sister are friends again now. And no more fighting please lol!
Glad to hear peace and harmony is being restored -- cats and dogs are like people too, some days they just get on each others nerves!
whew! glad they have finally signed a peace treaty! they look like such nice sweet cats ... (i guess kids can be like that too)Pumuckl is the longest cat i've ever seen ;)
