Since we moved into my parents' house Chica and Pumuckl are fascinated by the window sills. These window sills are something really new to the cats, yet spectacular. You can see the outside world from the peacefulness of your home, a great invention. On the other hand I prefer the window sills a lot over our former balcony perch which had no securing glass in front of it.
Every day since the first day Chica and Pumuckl spend most of their time at these window sills. They enjoy watching the birds in the trees, stare at the rain dropping from the sky (also something really new), play catch-me-if -you can and look at the passing cars and people at our quite calm street.
Today, I was working on the laptop and the cats were sitting at their usual place by the window behind me, I heard people talking about the cats in the window. She stopped, told her friend, who also stopped, pointed at Chica and Pumuckl and had a great time. I heard her wondering if these are real cats or such statues and then "Oh look, it's moving!"
Yes, sometimes these cats are moving. And well, they are Egyptian, but they aren't Bastets, the famous black cat statues from Egypt. They can meow and jump and annoy you a lot!
When I am coming from outside I always make sure to stop by the entrance stairs and look for Chica and Pumuckl. Most of the times I am successful and see them waiting there.at the window sill. Then I talk with them through the window. Chica rarely talks back but Pumuckl talks even more, for her too.
So, these are my little Bastets. Nice you look a bit like your famous ancestors :-)

PS: If you have expected The Cats' Tour through Germany today, we are sorry, but we are not ready yet to explore other parts than the house and garden. Hopefully we will be more adventurous in a few weeks. Stay tuned :-)

Cute little faces watching the world go by. When it is raining (which is most of the time lately) we like to watch the birds from the windows.
Nice shot from outside the window. Interesting isn't it, to hear the conversation of people about Chica and Pumuckl as to whether they are real or statues? They look so cute from the shot outside the window.
Your windows are quite large as Chica and Pumuckl look tiny in the window!! =)
Such sweet and purrty pictures...
again, this is just a quick
Hi-Bye from all of us.
Window sills are wonderful things!!!
WE don't have any ,so Mom tries to make sure there are shelves in front of windows. It is great to look outside and even have a nap in front of the window :)

Such darling little guard cats! We only have one window ledge and it's in the bedroom. But we love sitting there. We too get a lot of people talking to us from outside.
Momma loves your lace curtains! When she was in Ireland last summer all the houses had them and everyone on the tour wanted to go home and put lace curtains on their windows.
your sister, Laila, and brother, Minchie
I love those pictures. I also love coming home and seeing Thompson's little face looking out the window for me.
Two cute little spies behind the curtains, lol ! It must be a big changement for them. Especially the rain !
Wow! Great place to check out all the new sites for them to see! We wish we had those cool ledges to sit on!
Your FL furiends,
My cats both enjoy sitting on window sills and looking at the outside world too. I am surprised to hear you didn't have window sills in Egypt! Your cats are so cute peeking out the window! I am looking forward to the tour of Germany.
I love the look they are giving you Ana.. so cute...
Too cute. So sweet. Love them.
These are great pictures. I want to thank you for sharing your journey. I have been following each post and I enjoy reading about your adventures.
Oh, windows are wonderful! Every cat should have some. Mine don't have sills I can sit on unless they're open. Then, I can sniff the breeze. Mmmm, windows.
Come meet Nina, my new sisfur! We just met but I fink she's nice.
Oh Chica & Pumuckl, you look so cute sitting in the window looking out!
Ana, it isn't common to see two identical cats like that. I'm not surprised people stop and watch them :O)
You all look so cute in the window! That's where I would be, too!
That is so cute! Don't you just love it when you come home and you see those cute faces waiting for you in the window? Kind of makes all of the stress of the day go away, doesn't it?
Looks like you have some nice large windows. Luna was fascinated with the large windows and places to peer out when we moved. Looks like Chica and Pumuckl are starting to enjoy their new home.
Just dropping by to say hello and catch up on all the news.
Simba x
