Thursday Thirteen: Updates and Awards

My first Thursday Thirteen! Well, I just thought it would be a good way to get you updated :-)

1. When arriving in Germany last week there have been 2 packets waiting for us. One was from Florida and had such cute and fancy things inside. Thank you again, Ann! I truly love this bag!!! And Pumuckl loves his new stuffed animal (as replacement for the little pig I couldn't spot in all his hidden places before leaving Egypt)

The other one was from Babs. I was falling in love with her Beetle Doodles and she sent me the files to print them as posters for our new apartment in Germany. Look what else she did for us! Thank you Babs, you are too sweet!

2. Chica and Pumuckl adapted excellent, without any problems. They truly believe this is their house and love it. Especially the stairs and window sill, where they enjoy the sun or just watch the outside world.

3. I am not trusting the cats' harnesses and instead carry them around in the garden. They are too clever and always take them off themselves. I decided to look for those cool Puppia harnesses but didn't find them till now. Dragonheart & Merlin, please help! Where did you get them from?

4. Chica and Pumuckl met a lot of new faces as everyone wanted to welcome me and them I realized they dislike old and young people, just the middle-aged persons are okay. Do I have weird cats?

5. Pumuckl is ruling also THIS house. Today he decorated the bathroom with toilet paper. It was fun to get it back in place...

6. Pumuckl is waiting for intruders in the shower drain. But this kind of intruders we don't have here.

7. The cats' human grandfather is too kind in spreading treats. Somehow I have to put them on a diet for a while...

8. After one week of not napping in lunch time because there are too many interesting things to discover Chica and Pumuckl seem to be very tired now and even go to bed before me.

9. I miss blogging. I always plan to write my daily post but somehow there are so many things to do and to think about so there's no way to finish all.

10. The weather in Germany is amazing, just how I hoped it will be. Okay, I have seen more rain than during 4 years living in Egypt, but usually the days are sunny and warm at 35C.

11. I have met my best friend again. We didn't see each other for 3 years and now both of us will move to Berlin! The cats like him (he is middle-aged!) and I guess we will all have a great time in Germany's capital.

12. I will have my first interview for a job in Wednesday. The job sounds great, just what I did in Egypt, so hope all will go well.

Nice to see you are all adjusting happily and that Pumuckl is helping you decorate - at least one room.

Janna said...

I have a cat named Honeynut who looks just like Chica and Pumuckl.
I laughed when you mentioned that Pumuckl had "decorated the bathroom with toilet paper."
One day, about a dozen years ago, when I first adopted Honeynut, I came home to find that she had unraveled an entire roll of toilet paper and scattered it all over the bathroom floor.
That's when I learned I needed to put the TP on the roller pointing the other direction (draped over the back instead of over the front).
Ever since then, no problems. :)

Here's a picture of Honeynut I took nearly two years ago.

Your cats are adorable. I've never seen a cat who plays with stuffed toys. Now which cat is which and how did you come up with their names.

Melanie

PS. Our cats are Chip, Nilla, and Gobby. They are all orange. Chip and Nilla came with names (from the shelter) and Gobby is derived from his real name Goblin because we got him around Halloween and he was full of vinegar.
