Moving Boxes

I am very sorry for the lack of posts, but life's been busy the last days. At the weekend I had to prepare our suitcases and boxes and all the house was stuffed with moving boxes and other goods. The cats have been quite confused... usually these things were just out when I left. Sometimes it's really hard they are just cats and you can't sit down next to them and explain them what's going on... things like "Hey Babies, what do you think, I won't ever leave you alone. I just need to prepare those boxes to take them to our new home and I will come back to take you."

Well, now most of the boxes and the new goods are already in our new flat. I have been at IKEA yesterday to get a sofa and a small table and a dining table. Wow was that crowded. Somehow everyone seemed to have nothing else to do just going to IKEA.

Well, there is one very bad thing I discovered yesterday - I won't have Internet and TV right away. Why? Cause everyone is on vacation. I just felt like screaming. One week no Internet and not even TV? No blog and no EC dropping? ARGGGG. Will I survive that???? I will never ever move again during the holidays at the end of the year... It's like Ramadan in Egypt: Nobody at work to answer any questions which arise, nobody there to fix anything....

Well, I'll try to prepare some posts in order for you not too feel totally bored. But I am not happy to lose my EC rank cause I am unable to drop. Anybody voluntarily wants to drop 300 cards a day extra??? Haha.

So well, Thursday is our big day. This means tomorrow there will still be a post... Now I have to go to the supermarket to get some things for the New Year's Eve buffet...

Stay tuned! LOL :-)

How exciting! Despite the exhaustion and frustrations and endless details of moving, there is also something quite exciting and renewing about it! A fresh start and lots of new things to discover.

Do not worry, after dropping 2 weeks you will regain you spot in EC. Mom does not miss dropping one tiny bit, and her wrist is already much better!

That is exciting!! Things will calm down and the cats will understand when they are all settled in!

Happy New Year!!!

With the busy holidays, plenty of us didn't quite make it into dropping the daily EC, so don't worry. You'll get back on top easily.

I want to wish you a Happy New Year, filled with good health, joy and accomplishments! And a friendly paw from my 2 cats :)

I feel your pain. My internet and phone (AT&T U-verse) has been down since Tuesday. The tech came Saturday and fixed everything, told me I wouldn't have anymore problems. 24 hours later the phone and internet is down again. I've been doing my drops at work when I'm there. Hang in there.

It is a very hectic time for you right now, but once you have moved in, you can relax a bit and maybe put your feet up, (bet you don't though, there is always something needs doing.)Hope you had a good Christmas and we wish you a Happy New Year.

Oh it is very exciting for you. In one sense, it will be better that you have no internet. You can spend the week getting everything how you want it. No TV is not so good though :O(

I missed two or three days of dropping and I dropped right down too. You will soon pick up again though. Happy moving, and a Happy New Year!

I hope the moving will go smoothly Ana, I can feel your pain, being without internet and Tv could be quite frustrating, moreover if you need them for your work. :)

Same happened to me, one of our window's opening has broken, now I have to wait till 5th January to get parts for it, until I needto use tapes all over the window lol, so we can imitate a "closed" window and won't let cold coming in :P

I'll be glad with all the dust settles and the move is over. Having your own flat will be wonderful.

Have a terrific day and have a very Happy New Year. Big hug honey. :)

I would barely survive without my Internet!! I feel for you, I did it for two whole months. (Had to go to the nearby shop every single day for my online fix.)

But your New Year is off to a great start. Have a great 2009! :)

We move back and forth between England and France, and poor Bertie has learnt that when the suitcases are out, things happen, so he sits in the cases to keep watch.

It will be good for you once you settle in to the new place, just the hurdle of the next week or so, and you will be fine. Good luck with everything.

I understand what you mean about wishing you could sit the kitties down and explain what's going on. I feel the same thing at times. I'm worried that Fui and Suey will think their dad has left forever when he has to go away, because he'll be gone for a while. It would be nice to be able to let them know there is no need to worry.

Good luck for your move. You will feel great when you're all settled in:)

I go crazy when I don't have internet either. When we moved here we didn't have electricity for 3 days! I was pulling my hair! We had to wait a week also for cable and internet. Good luck and Happy New Year!!
